The French nuclear fleet was started up in the early 70‘s and is due to be gradually renewed in the 2020s.
As a priority among all of its power generation facilities, EDF intends to bolster renewable energies while also commissioning new generations of nuclear reactors, ever more competitive and more conducive to environmental protection. In addition, EDF is involved in ongoing international research projects such as 4th-generation nuclear reactors and ITER, etc.
