EDF controls the entire life cycle of its nuclear power plants and assumes full financial and technical responsibility for their decommissioning once they have reached the end of their service life.
On 21 October 2005, in a public service agreement signed with the French government, the Group undertook to complete dismantling of 9 decommissioned plants within the following 25 years.
